Cytologist

Assignment Details

Fulltime position with no weekend or on-call requirements.

Requirements

• Cytologist (CT) ASCP or eligible, contingent upon passing certification.
• Bachelor's of Science required; new graduates accepted.
• Preferred experience with rose procedures and fine needle aspiration (F&A) procedures.
• Ability to work in a high-stress environment with proceduralists.

Responsibilities

• Microscopically examine gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens for cancerous and pre-cancerous cells and other pathologic findings.
• Assist in obtaining diagnostic quality samples.
• Provide feedback on fine needle aspiration procedures.
• Screen designated number of Pap smears.
• Collaborate with pathologists and provide direct patient care.
