The Marketing Events Manager will play a key role in ensuring that ADAC is recognized as the premier design resource center in our 10-state region that leads the industry in facilitating relationships between allied organizations, designers, showrooms, and their clients, by being inclusive, experiential, and educational.
Responsibilities will include planning and execution of local and regional events and sponsorships. The ideal candidate should excel in building and nurturing relationships with both internal and external partners and must demonstrate strong skills in managing multiple events concurrently while maintaining excellent time management.
A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Promotions, Event Planning, Communications, or Business, coupled with 3-5 years of relevant experience in event planning or a related field. Experience in the interior design industry is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidate must possess flexibility and initiative, be attentive to details, and have the ability to produce results while managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment. Must be passionate about event planning, creative thinking, problem-solving and project management. An interest in interior design is strongly recommended. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Must project a professional image and ability to deal with customer’s questions and complaints in a courteous manner. Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross channel / cross departmentally as well as with all levels of the organization. Some travel will be required as well as flexibility to amend standard work hours to work occasional evening and/or weekend during major special events. Ability to lift approximately 20 - 30 lbs.
