Jack Madden Ford is looking for an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Assistant Service Manager to join our team. We are seeking someone who understands the fast-paced nature of a successful service department and has previous experience dispatching work to technicians. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can keep the shop moving efficiently, support technicians and advisors, and step in wherever needed to help the department succeed. Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Manager with the daily operation of the service department
• Dispatch repair orders and efficiently distribute work to technicians based on skill level, availability, and workload
• Monitor technician workflow and help ensure repairs are completed efficiently and accurately
• Provide hands-on support to technicians and service advisors when needed
• Help manage shop productivity, efficiency, and workflow
• Assist with diagnosing and resolving complex service concerns
• Communicate effectively with technicians, advisors, parts personnel, and management
• Help ensure repair orders are properly documented and completed in a timely manner
• Monitor work in progress and help identify potential delays or bottlenecks
• Support a positive, professional, and productive shop environment
• Assist with training, coaching, and developing service department employees
• Help maintain high standards for quality, customer satisfaction, and safety
• Step in as a working leader when the department needs additional support

What We're Looking For

• Previous service department leadership experience strongly preferred
• Previous experience dispatching work to automotive technicians is highly valued
• Strong understanding of automotive repair and service operations
• Hands-on approach with the ability and willingness to jump in and help the team
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to motivate and work effectively with technicians and service advisors
• Ford experience and/or manufacturer training is a plus
