Assistant Food Service Director

Job Summary:

Join our team at Coral Springs Rehabilitation and Nursing Center as an Assistant Food Service Director! As a key member of our dietary department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer service. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management and supervision of the dietary staff, including food preparation, serving, and clean-up activities on varying shifts as needed
• Provide leadership, support, and guidance to ensure food quality standards, inventory levels, food safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met
• Operate a variety of industrial kitchen equipment and perform job assignments of dietary aides, cooks, and dishwashers
• Assume responsibility of managing and supervising the dietary staff at a single site in the absence of the Dietary Director
• Lead small groups of assistants in food preparation, serving, and clean-up activities
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and standards

Requirements:

• Current Food Safety Manager or Food Handler Certification (ServSafe or State certification)
• CDM / CFPP Certification preferred where required by State regulation for long-term care
• Ability to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
