Job Description

About the client

A manufacturing company, part of an international group, with operations across several countries and a well established presence in the local market. The organization is going through a phase of accelerated expansion and development, and the controlling function is now being built as a strategic pillar, aligned to group standards and implemented locally. A moment where what you build leaves a mark, not a role inside an already frozen structure.

About the role

You are the real bridge between finance and operations. You do not wait for reports to land on your desk, you go into production, logistics and supply chain and understand why the numbers look the way they do. When a margin turns negative, you are the one who finds which component drove the cost up and why, talking directly to the people on the line rather than reading a report two weeks later. You turn operational data into financial decisions and hold the big picture across every department. You report directly to the CFO and work closely with group controlling.

Responsibilities:

  • Cost control and production analysis
  • Monitor and analyze standard versus actual cost at work order level
  • Track material consumption against BOM and analyze labor cost per unit
  • Identify inefficiencies in assembly, rework and line balancing
  • Variance and root cause analysis
  • Analyze material price and usage variances, labor efficiency and scrap losses
  • Provide explanations based on real root cause and propose corrective actions, not just findings
  • Margin and product profitability
  • Analyze product level margins using standard cost as the baseline
  • Explain deviations between expected and actual margin, from material price fluctuations to scrap and rework effects
  • Identify low margin or loss making products and business lines and come with concrete proposals
  • Challenge and validate the standard cost assumptions used in pricing and quotations
  • Inventory and stock
  • Analyze inventory discrepancies and trace where they come from, working with the recipe and the real consumption flow
  • Track slow moving stock and propose solutions so it does not turn into dead stock
  • Business partnering and new KPIs
  • Support production, engineering and supply chain with applied financial insight
  • Contribute to implementing new production efficiency indicators, including labor hours measured against BOM

What we are looking for

  • A degree in finance or accounting and a solid costing foundation
  • A few years of experience, ideally a mix of audit or finance with time spent inside a manufacturing company
  • You understand what a production flow is and the logic of standard versus actual cost
  • You are comfortable with ERP and advanced Excel, and an appetite for analytics tools and Power BI is a real plus
  • You are the kind who leaves the desk and walks into the plant to understand a number, not the kind who waits for someone else's report
