Supports the BHS operational readiness, activation and transition (ORAT), including commissioning, testing, readiness reviews, operational trials and go-live preparations.
Validates baggage processes, system interfaces and operational procedures.
Develops, tests and activates SOPs, contingency plans, and manual fallback procedures, coordinating recovery actions when required.
Participates in risk assessments, safety and security reviews, ensuring that identified hazards are tracked and resolved.
Supports baggage service standards, KPIs, reporting and escalation activities, in accordance with the Airport Emergency Plan and applicable procedures.
Coordinates operational familiarization with airlines, ground handlers, security, and other airport stakeholders.
Monitors and verifies BHS performance, baggage flows, and operational constraints.
Ensures compliance with safety procedures within baggage handling areas.
Coordinates the immediate operational response to faults, disruptions baggage delays, peak periods and irregular operations, balancing safety, service, and operational needs.
Analyzes KPIs, identifies trends, supports occurrence investigations, and drives corrective and preventive actions for continuous improvement.
Supports occurrence reporting, investigations, and corrective or preventive actions.
Technical diploma or equivalent qualification in engineering, aviation, logistics or a related discipline.
Relevant training or certification in airport operations, safety, incident management, aviation security or BHS systems is desirable.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field (e.g. airport operations, baggage handling, logistics).
Experience in a shift-based operational environment.
Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is strongly preferred.
Experience in BHS commissioning, ORAT, integrated trials or airport opening is desirable.
Demonstrable experience coordinating incidents, service disruptions or contingency operations is required.
Excellent command of English both oral and written.
Knowledge of Greek language is strongly preferred.
Ability to interpret operational and technical information from systems such as BHS supervisory controls, BRS, EDS, SCADA, AODB, BMS or CMMS.
Strong operational leadership and decision-making.
Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Strong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills.
