Founded in 1906, YMCA of the Pines is an interfaith, charitable organization in the recreational facilities industry, dedicated to helping children, teens and families explore, grow, thrive and become the best version of themselves. Headquartered at 1303 Stokes Rd, Medford, New Jersey, the organization operates on 800 acres in the New Jersey Pine Barrens and has grown from a single boys' summer camp into a year-round operation serving tens of thousands of children and families annually. Its core programs include three summer camps—Ockanickon for boys, Matollionequay for girls, and Lake Stockwell, a co-ed day camp—along with specialty camp partnerships such as Camp Bright Feathers, Camp Kesem and Camp Firefly, which support children facing health challenges, family illness or loss. The organization also provides Environmental Education programs for New Jersey school students, an Outdoor Center for retreats and team-building programs, and Child Care services through nine School's Out sites offering before- and after-school care. YMCA of the Pines employs more than 60 people dedicated to its mission.
