Maas Energy Works is a family-owned renewable energy power generation company founded in 2010 and headquartered in Redding, California. Founder Daryl Maas grew up in the dairy community and has long been passionate about using renewable technology to create value for farm families while benefiting the environment. The company develops, owns, and operates on-farm renewable energy facilities, partnering with dairy families to convert cow manure and other organic waste into biogas, which is then used to produce vehicle fuel, electricity, heat, and soon hydrogen. With more than 120 employees, Maas Energy Works operates the nation’s largest fleet of dairy digesters, spanning over 70 farms across 8 states.
