Thea Energy, founded in 2022 as a spin-out of the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory and Princeton University, operates in the renewable energy power generation industry. The company is developing an economical and scalable fusion energy system that uses arrays of mass-manufacturable magnets combined with dynamic software controls, aiming to provide a limitless source of zero-emission power. Building on recent advances in computation and controls, Thea Energy is reinventing the stellarator, a scientifically mature magnetic fusion technology first invented at Princeton. The company is currently designing its first integrated fusion system, Eos, based on a planar coil stellarator architecture intended to produce fusion neutrons at scale and in steady state. Headquartered at 1 Eastern Rd, Suite 3-04, Kearny, New Jersey, Thea Energy has a workforce of more than 100 employees.
