IDEA Public Schools

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Weslaco, Texas, IDEA Public Schools operates in the Education Administration Programs industry, built on the belief that every child can go to college. Since its start as a small school with 150 students, the network has grown into a system of tuition-free, K-12 public charter schools serving nearly 88,000 college-bound students across 145 schools in Texas and affiliated regions. IDEA has earned national recognition, including honors from The Washington Post, the U.S. Department of Education's Blue Ribbon Schools list, and U.S. News & World Report's Top High Schools rankings. Over the past 18 years, the organization has sent nearly 100% of its graduates to college and continues working to sustain that record. Today, IDEA Public Schools employs more than 5,800 people.
