High Plains Mental Health Center

Founded in 1964, High Plains Mental Health Center has served residents of Northwest Kansas for more than five decades as a licensed community mental health center. Headquartered at 208 East 7th St. in Hays, Kansas, the organization employs more than 80 staff dedicated to delivering comprehensive, affordable mental health services close to home. In addition to its Hays office, High Plains operates five full-time branch offices in Colby, Goodland, Norton, Osborne, and Phillipsburg, with regular services extended to Wallace, Rawlins, Logan, Decatur, Gove, Graham, Trego, Ness, Rooks, Rush, Smith, and Russell counties. The center's mission centers on providing a continuum of individualized care, responding quickly and compassionately to those in its 20-county service area.
