Cross Insurance is a family-owned insurance agency headquartered in Bangor, Maine, with more than 40 branches across the Northeast. Founded in 1954 at the kitchen table of Woodrow Cross, the company has grown into one of New England's largest independent insurance intermediaries and was named the 2nd Largest Insurance Broker in Massachusetts in 2023 and 2024. Over the decades, Cross Insurance has completed more than 150 acquisitions, expanding its presence throughout the region, and now employs more than 800 people. The agency has also been recognized as the 27th Largest Broker of U.S. Business and serves as the official insurance broker of the New England Patriots, Gillette Stadium, the Boston Bruins, the Boston Red Sox, and the New England Revolution. Now in its fourth generation, Cross Insurance remains family owned and operated.
