Regional account manager- animal nutrition

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for growing sales of Actus Nutrition Animal Nutrition products with both current and new customers. This role increases sales by working through current distribution channels and by finding and developing new markets that can be profitable. A large part of this role focuses on growing key existing accounts and finding new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will reside in or be willing to relocate to the Lubbock or Amarillo, Texas area. This position is responsible for managing a multi-state territory that includes Texas, Kansas, and New Mexico.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Create and carry out 30-to-90-day plans to exceed yearly sales goals.
• Meet regularly with key decision-makers at major and potential customers to grow sales and market share.
• Focus on winning business with large dairy operations across the Actus Nutrition Animal Nutrition market.
• Build relationships with key industry contacts, including nutritionists, veterinarians, and partners.
• Present Actus Nutrition Animal Nutrition products and services as industry leaders.
• Able to sell VALUE of our product line by understanding the facts, features and benefits.
• Share key customer and prospect updates with team members and leaders.
• Support use of presentations and marketing materials to drive sales.
• Report competitor activity, new products, and industry trends to the team and management.
• Work with the Customer Satisfaction Team to resolve product and service issues quickly.

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in dairy science or related field.
• 5+ years of previous sales experience preferred in the feed or dairy industry.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a variety of audiences.
• Strong working knowledge of PCs.
• Business development/new business presentation experience.
• Solid understanding of the sales process.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to make sound decisions.
• Motivated, self-starter who can work independently, yet function and participate as part of a team.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• Manage travel and business expenditures appropriately for optimum cost effectiveness.
• Requires direct contact with all Actus-AN departments, as well as external contact with customers, influencers and large dairy owners and managers.
