Job Title: Weekend RN Admissions Nurse | Home Health | $200 Per SOC
Company: Home Health Care, Inc.
Location: Twin Cities Metro Area
Schedule: Weekends Only
Compensation: $200 per Start of Care Visit + Mileage Reimbursement
Skip The 12-Hour Shift. Use Your Weekend Differently.
You don't necessarily need another traditional nursing job to earn meaningful additional income. If you're an experienced home health RN who knows Start of Care admissions and OASIS, Home Health Care, Inc. offers a different way to put that expertise to work. Instead of committing to another hospital shift, managing an ongoing caseload, or adding weekday hours to an already busy schedule, you can focus specifically on weekend Start of Care admissions. You'll be compensated $200 per SOC visit plus mileage reimbursement while using the assessment and clinical decision-making skills you've already worked hard to develop.
To Stand Out
Email Elena Ehrlich at elena.ehrlich@hhcare.net with your resume and a brief overview of your home health experience, OASIS knowledge, and Start of Care experience.
Why Experienced Home Health Nurses Should Take A Look
- $200 Per Start of Care Visit
- Your specialized admission skills are compensated at a premium per-visit rate.
- Weekend-Only Opportunity
- Keep your weekdays open or maintain your current Monday through Friday position.
- Mileage Reimbursement
- Receive reimbursement for eligible travel between patient visits.
- No Ongoing Case Management Caseload
- Your focus is getting new patients successfully admitted and establishing the foundation for their care.
- Clinical Autonomy
- Use your experience and judgment to assess the entire patient picture and determine what needs to happen next.
- One Patient At A Time
- Your attention belongs to the patient and family in front of you.
You Know What A Good Admission Looks Like
A great Start of Care nurse sees more than what's written on the referral. You notice the medication discrepancy. You recognize the fall risk. You identify when the caregiver needs more education. You ask the question that uncovers an important change in condition. And you understand that accurate OASIS documentation and a strong initial plan of care can influence everything that happens throughout the patient's home health episode. That's the expertise we're looking for.
What You'll Do
- Complete weekend Start of Care admissions for new home health patients.
- Perform comprehensive skilled nursing assessments.
- Complete OASIS and admission documentation accurately and on time.
- Review medications, diagnoses, symptoms, safety concerns, and caregiver needs.
- Develop and initiate individualized plans of care.
- Provide patient and caregiver education.
- Identify additional clinical and therapy needs.
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Communicate significant clinical findings and changes appropriately.
Who We're Looking For
This is not intended to be an entry-level home health opportunity. We're looking for an RN who can confidently manage the complexity of an admission in the field.
Required Qualifications
- Active Minnesota Registered Nurse license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Previous home health nursing experience.
- Strong OASIS knowledge.
- Start of Care or admission experience strongly preferred.
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making abilities.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license, active insurance, and reliable transportation.
Already Working Full-Time? That's Okay.
This opportunity can make sense for an RN who enjoys their current weekday position but wouldn't mind adding premium weekend income. It can work for a part-time nurse looking to add additional visits. Or it can be an excellent fit for an experienced home health clinician who simply enjoys admissions, assessments, and clinical problem-solving more than maintaining a traditional caseload. You're not starting over. You're putting an existing specialty to work in a different way.
More Than 30 Years Of Home Health Experience Behind You
Home Health Care, Inc. is a locally owned, Medicare-certified agency that has served Minnesota patients and families for more than 30 years across 21 counties.
