Lead a large-scale AWS cloud data transformation spanning enterprise data lakes, data warehouses, and cross-functional delivery teams.

Position Summary: This consulting role will lead program management for a complex, multi-workstream initiative to migrate and modernize enterprise data lake and data warehouse capabilities on AWS. The ideal candidate brings hands-on familiarity with cloud data platforms, strong delivery leadership, and experience operating in financial services or another highly regulated environment.

• Initial Term: 12 months, with potential to extend to 18+ months
• Engagement Type: Contract—C2C or W-2 hourly
• Expected Commitment: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
• Work Model: Primarily remote, with travel as needed for client meetings, workshops, and planning sessions in Stamford, New York City, or Atlanta

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Program Management leader to drive a large, cross-functional cloud data transformation. This role will oversee planning, execution, dependency management, governance, and stakeholder alignment across multiple workstreams. The right candidate must understand cloud data delivery in depth—not just cloud infrastructure or traditional data programs—and be comfortable coordinating business, technology, architecture, engineering, governance, and delivery teams through a complex modernization effort.

Core technology environment includes: Cloudera/Hadoop, Spark, Oracle, AWS Redshift, EMR, S3, Glue, SageMaker, SAS, ETL tools, and Collibra.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end program delivery for a complex AWS cloud data transformation across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups.
• Manage program planning, execution, dependencies, risks, issues, milestones, and executive reporting.
• Coordinate delivery across data engineering, architecture, platform, governance, analytics, business, and vendor teams.
• Partner with technical leads to align legacy platforms, cloud services, data pipelines, governance tools, and reporting needs.
• Run program ceremonies, delivery tracking, escalations, and governance within a SAFe Agile environment using JIRA.
• Facilitate workshops, planning sessions, and stakeholder reviews with distributed teams and senior leaders.
• Ensure delivery meets expectations for financial services or other highly regulated environments.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Strong program management experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional technology programs.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud data initiatives, including data lakes, data warehouses, data migration, modernization, and enterprise data platform delivery.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud data services such as Redshift, EMR, S3, Glue, and SageMaker.
• Familiarity with legacy and modern data technologies including Cloudera/Hadoop, Spark, Oracle, SAS, ETL platforms, and data governance tools such as Collibra.
• Experience operating in Agile delivery environments, preferably Scaled Agile Framework, with hands-on use of JIRA for planning and execution tracking.
• Ability to manage complexity across multiple workstreams, dependencies, teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in financial services.
• Experience working in a highly regulated environment with strong governance, controls, compliance, and audit expectations.
• Experience leading data platform modernization or migration programs from on-premises environments to AWS.
• Understanding of enterprise data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality practices.
