Job Description

Summary

The VP, Delivery Assurance & Global PMO owns the global standard for how PS programs are run — and the global function that enforces it. This leader holds end-to-end accountability for delivery quality across every region, every line of business, and every Guidewire implementation program. The role owns program assurance, PMO methodology, and delivery excellence methodology outright; runs the regional PMO function as a single global organization (with AMER, EMEA, and APAC PMO leaders reporting directly); owns the cost-center budget for the global PMO and Delivery Assurance function; and is the executive guardian of the Success, Guaranteed commitment to customers.

This is a true VP role on all three of the Guidewire PS VP framework dimensions: global in scope (every region, every program, every partner), strategy-setting in authority (defines what “good delivery” means at Guidewire and how PMO and assurance methodology evolve as AI reshapes the services model), and externally facing (the executive who steps into Tier 1 customer programs at risk, who represents Guidewire's delivery standard to SI partners, and who speaks publicly on services excellence).

Job Description

What you'll do

Strategic Accountabilities

Customer Outcomes and Program Assurance

Own the global delivery assurance function — the leading-indicator system that surfaces program risk early, before customer escalation. Accountable for Cloud Adoption Success outcomes across PS-led and SI-led programs (FY26 P4 method), with measurable improvement in on-time, on-budget, and on-value delivery. Personally engage on the highest-risk programs across the global portfolio; act as the executive who mobilizes cross-region resources to recover a customer commitment.

Program and Delivery Assurance Methodology

Own program management methodology, delivery assurance methodology, and the delivery excellence framework — the cross-cutting standards that govern how every PS program is run from initiation through value realization. Partner with Global Practices (which owns technical methodology) and Global Delivery (which owns engineering and execution methodology for GDC and productized services) to integrate all three methodology layers into a coherent end-to-end PS delivery standard. Drive the integration of AI-enabled assurance and PMO tooling — predictive program risk, automated status synthesis, AI-assisted PM coaching — into the global methodology at the pace AI capability allows. Own the global Delivery Excellence function — defines, measures, and improves how PS engagements are run end to end. Set the PM certification standard for all PS consultants and SI partner practitioners running Guidewire programs.

Global PMO as a Single Function

Run the global PMO as one organization, with AMER, EMEA, and APAC Delivery Assurance & PMO leaders reporting directly into this role — driving true global consistency in program management standards, tooling, and reporting (not just dotted-line coordination). Own the cost-center budget for the global PMO and Delivery Assurance function, including the headcount plan, tooling investments, and AI-enabled assurance platform spend. Build the predictability layer that makes PS forecasting reliable — partnering with Global Operations on demand, capacity, and bookings forecasting accuracy. Set the global standard for project and program management as a profession — including leveling, certification, and career path for PMs across PS globally.

Partner Program Quality

Own the global Partner Program Quality function — strengthening CASS for more consistent SI-led program outcomes (FY26 Priority #3) and setting the global standard for SI-led program assurance. Partner with Alliances on partner certification and design-authority models; hold authority over partner program quality standards that SIs must meet to deliver on Guidewire programs.

AI Fluency in Delivery

Champion the integration of AI into every layer of delivery assurance — risk prediction, program health analytics, methodology automation, and PMO reporting. Partner with the PS AI CoE to deploy AI-powered delivery assurance tools (e.g., predictive program risk, automated status synthesis, AI-assisted methodology coaching). Set the AI-fluency bar for the program management profession in PS.

External Representation

This role represents Guidewire externally on delivery quality, customer outcomes, and program assurance — at customer steering committees for strategic accounts, in SI partner executive conversations, and at industry forums on services excellence and delivery transformation. The role is the public face of “how Guidewire delivers”.

Decision Rights

Owns: Program management methodology, delivery assurance methodology, delivery excellence framework, cost-center budget for global PMO and Delivery Assurance, regional PMO leadership appointments (AMER, EMEA, APAC), delivery escalation framework, global PM career architecture and certification, partner program quality standards. Influences: Regional delivery execution (regions own customer P&L; this role owns the program assurance standard), technical methodology (owned by Global Practices, with this role as integration partner), engineering and delivery-execution methodology (owned by Global Delivery, with this role as integration partner), partner commercial relationships (owned by GTM), AI tooling roadmap (owned by AI CoE).

What you'll bring

Required experience

  • 15+ years in professional services or large-scale program delivery, with at least 7 years in senior program leadership or PMO executive roles.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a global program assurance, delivery excellence, or quality function in a services organization of 1,000+ people.
  • Track record recovering high-stakes customer programs and rebuilding customer trust at the executive level.
  • Deep experience operating with and influencing SI partners — including in program assurance and joint-delivery accountability models.
  • Experience leading methodology evolution through a fundamental shift — agile transformation, cloud transition, or AI/automation adoption.

Required capabilities

  • Executive-level program leadership: can run a war room for a Tier 1 customer and a board-level delivery review with equal credibility.
  • Strategy-setting authority on what “good delivery” means in an AI-accelerated services model.
  • AI fluency embedded in delivery: comfortable making investment and standards decisions on agentic delivery tools, predictive risk models, and AI-assisted PM practices.
  • Strong influence skills — this role owns the standard but does not own the regional P&L; effectiveness depends on partnering with regional VPs as peers.
  • Financial and operational rigor on program economics, margin protection, and value realization.

Preferred

  • P&C insurance or core systems implementation experience.
  • Prior PMP, PgMP, or comparable program management credentials at the executive level.
  • Background in services delivery for a hyperscaler, ERP vendor, or major SaaS platform company.
  • Track record building or leading a delivery assurance or program quality function from the ground up.
