Job Description

This is a remote position. The opportunity MastarRec is a retained executive search firm focused on senior Risk, Compliance, Regulatory and Cybersecurity leadership. We are expanding our U.S. client-development capability and are looking for an experienced, commercially credible professional who already understands how to build senior-level relationships and originate executive-search business. This is not a high-volume recruiter role and it is not a salaried employee vacancy. It is designed as an independent business-to-business contractor relationship for someone who can create and develop their own U.S. client opportunities, while using MastarRec's brand, executive-search capability and agreed commercial resources to convert suitable opportunities into retained assignments.

What you will do

  • Develop your own relationships with U.S. CEOs, CROs, CCOs, CISOs and other senior decision-makers in Financial Services, FinTech and related regulated markets.
  • Identify genuine business, regulatory, growth, succession, risk and leadership pressures that may create a need for senior executive capability.
  • Originate qualified client opportunities and introduce them to MastarRec for retained executive-search discussions.
  • Lead or participate in commercial conversations where appropriate, with Tariq Masood, Founder & CEO, available for founder-to-executive and closing conversations.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity and relationship records using agreed MastarRec processes.
  • Protect the MastarRec brand through professional, relationship-led business development; no indiscriminate candidate or client spam.

What this opportunity is not

  • It is not a fixed-hours call-center role.
  • It is not an employee position with a guaranteed salary, employee benefits or prescribed daily working schedule.
  • It is not primarily a candidate-sourcing desk.
  • It is not an invitation to mass-message prospects or represent unverified vacancies.

Requirements

Who we want to speak with:

  • Experienced executive-search, recruitment, staffing, retained-search or professional-services business developers with U.S. market credibility.
  • Professionals comfortable speaking directly with C-suite and senior Risk, Compliance, Regulatory or Cybersecurity leaders.
  • People who can independently decide how, when and where to develop their market and who are comfortable being accountable for commercial results.
  • Professionals with an existing network in U.S. Financial Services, FinTech, banking, payments, insurance, asset/wealth management, cybersecurity or adjacent regulated sectors.
  • Individuals who value consultative conversations and long-term relationships over transactional vacancy chasing.

90-day pilot success measures

  • Qualified senior decision-maker conversations.
  • Client discovery meetings with genuine leadership or succession issues.
  • Retained-search opportunities created.
  • Retained proposals issued and assignments won.
  • Collected search revenue from contractor-originated business.
  • Quality of client relationships and commercial intelligence, not raw dial or message volume.

How to apply

Please send a concise introduction explaining your U.S. market background, the sectors and senior decision-makers you know best, and examples of executive-search, recruitment or professional-services business you have personally originated. We are particularly interested in people who can demonstrate relationship-led business development rather than high-volume outreach.

Company: MastarRec Limited | www.mastarrec.com

Founder & CEO: Tariq Masood

Benefits

Commercial model The proposed pilot is performance-based. The final commission schedule will be stated in the written contractor agreement. Our intended starting model is a substantial share of MastarRec's net collected search fees on qualifying new client business personally originated by the contractor. Commission becomes payable only after the relevant client payment has been received and cleared by MastarRec, subject to the agreement's account-ownership, refund, replacement, tax and clawback provisions. For discussion, Commission is 22% of qualifying net search fees actually collected by MastarRec from new client business personally originated by the contractor. The final structure may vary according to the scope of the contractor's role, whether MastarRec provides delivery support, and applicable legal/tax requirements.

Independent contractor basis

The successful professional will be expected to operate as an independent businessperson, subject to the final written agreement and applicable federal and state law. The contractor will ordinarily control the manner, means, timing and location of their work; remain responsible for their own ordinary business expenses, taxes and insurance; and, subject to confidentiality, conflict and account-protection obligations, remain free to provide services to other clients. MastarRec will define required commercial outcomes, brand/confidentiality standards and client-account protections rather than prescribing day-to-day working methods.

Important notice

This specification describes MastarRec's intended commercial model and is not a legal determination of worker status. Worker classification depends on the actual facts and circumstances and may differ under federal, state and local law. MastarRec will complete appropriate legal/tax review before engagement. No candidate should rely on the title, commission method or written agreement alone as determining independent-contractor status.
