Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategy & Operations Supply Chain Senior Consultant based in the United States.

This is an opportunity to join a healthcare consulting environment focused on improving operational performance and patient-centered outcomes.

You’ll advise healthcare organizations on complex supply chain challenges and help clients identify practical, high-value opportunities for improvement.

The role combines strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract management, value analysis, and data-driven problem solving.

You’ll work directly with healthcare leaders and consulting professionals across different levels of an organization.

Your analysis and recommendations will contribute to client deliverables, internal methodologies, and broader consulting capabilities.

The position offers substantial exposure to complex healthcare environments and opportunities to broaden your expertise and professional network.

This is a highly collaborative role requiring significant travel, with approximately 80% of time spent traveling to client locations.

Accountabilities

  • Advise healthcare clients on supply chain strategy, operational improvement, and complex business challenges, developing practical solutions that support measurable outcomes.
  • Lead and contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, contract management, and value analysis activities.
  • Analyze complex datasets, develop innovative analytical approaches, identify meaningful insights, and translate findings into compelling strategic narratives for senior management.
  • Develop trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on customer success and high-quality delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and help design and execute the path toward sustainable solutions.
  • Contribute to project deliverables, consulting methodologies, internal knowledge assets, and firm-wide collateral.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary consulting and healthcare teams to solve complex problems and deliver high-value recommendations.
  • Support the continuous development of consulting capabilities by sharing knowledge, analytical approaches, and best practices.
  • Engage with healthcare professionals and leaders at multiple organizational levels to understand business needs and develop relevant recommendations.
  • When applicable, apply knowledge of clinical strategic sourcing, including physician preference items used in operating rooms and cardiac catheterization laboratories.
  • Travel extensively to client locations, with approximately 80% travel required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated consulting experience within the healthcare environment, with a track record of solving complex operational and strategic problems.
  • Hands-on experience with strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, contract management, and value analysis.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to design data analyses, work with complex datasets, identify insights, and communicate findings effectively to senior leaders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and translate them into actionable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated commitment to customer success and trusted client partnerships.
  • Collaborative leadership style and the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals, consultants, executives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Growth-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
  • Familiarity with clinical strategic sourcing and physician preference items in operating rooms and/or cardiac catheterization laboratories is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
