Monks is a new kind of agency, built from the ground up by award-winning creatives, top data scientists and cutting-edge media people willing to defect from the old agency model to create smarter work. Challenging convention, we bridge the gap between meaningful storytelling, data-led optimization and commerce. A spirit of curiosity, relentless creativity and data-informed decision making define our culture and people.
Commerce Strategy sits within Media Strategy and is the team that helps our clients win on Amazon and across the broader retail media landscape. We connect advertising, retail operations and content into a single growth plan, pairing deep Amazon Advertising expertise with the analytical rigor and AI-enabled workflows that define how Monks works.
The Sr Manager, Commerce Strategy leads the day-to-day commerce relationship and growth agenda for one or more of Monks' most important client businesses. This is a role for a strategic thinker with a high degree of ownership, the analytical skills to turn raw retail and advertising data into decisions, and the intellectual flexibility to keep pace with a fast-changing commerce environment.
The essentials: 5+ years of relevant experience in commerce, retail media, retail operations or business management/consulting, with a proven track record of delivering results. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central. Experience with promotion planning, pricing, inventory management and retailer negotiations. Highly analytical, able to create targeted recommendations from raw data. Demonstrated ability to present to and earn the trust of senior leaders, and to build and manage relationships across client and retailer organizations. A self-starter who manages multiple projects at once with very high standards for your work. Comfortable in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment: figuring it out and adapting as you go. Comfortable with data analysis and eager to adopt AI-enabled ways of working. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to support and mentor team members, and the desire to grow as a leader. Not afraid to defect from the status quo in order to make our clients and company more successful. BA or equivalent with emphasis on marketing, advertising, or business. Occasional travel required.
This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. The specific details, including the number of required office days, will be in accordance with the company’s then-current RTO policy, which is subject to change from time to time.
Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting.
