Job Description

Why TrueAccord?

TrueAccord, a wholly owned subsidiary of TrueML, is a category-defining company. We combine machine learning with a human-based approach to transform debt resolution and to get people on the path towards financial health. Every year, more than 70 million Americans have negative experiences dealing with debt. We are changing this by providing personalized digital experiences that guide lenders and consumers through this challenging financial process.

With a world-class leadership team, passionate team members, and proprietary predictive models trained on years worth of transactional data, TrueAccord is well-positioned to deliver on a huge opportunity: helping millions of consumers to regain and keep their financial footing while lowering the cost of doing business for creditors across many industries.

About This Role:

Sitting at the intersection of analytics, technology, and deep domain expertise, you will translate consumer and portfolio signals into sophisticated, tech-enabled collection strategies. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Planning, your critical goal is to design, launch, and optimize multidimensional strategies across email, SMS, dialing, and digital self-service channels to boost liquidation, drive payment conversion, and elevate operational performance.

What You'll Do:

  • Own Strategy End-to-End: Lead collections strategy initiatives from initial opportunity identification through design, testing, launch, and ongoing optimization.
  • Design Multi-Channel Treatments: Determine contact timing, frequency, treatment sequencing, and segmentation across email, SMS/MMS, outbound dialing, and digital self-service channels.
  • Bridge Strategy and Execution: Translate strategic concepts into actionable business requirements and clear business cases for Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Momentum: Partner across Data Science, Client Management, Contact Center Operations, Product, Legal, and Compliance to move initiatives into production without relying on formal authority.
  • Optimize Key Metrics: Monitor delivery, engagement, payment conversion, and payment plan break rates to improve client scorecard performance and recovery outcomes.
  • Leverage Modern AI & Analytics: Utilize AI tools to accelerate hypothesis development, research, and strategy design while building repeatable testing frameworks.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced Collections Leader: You bring 8+ years in consumer finance or lending, including 5+ years specializing in consumer debt collections and collections strategy.
  • Strategic & Analytical: You possess a deep understanding of collection levers, strong prioritization instincts, and a proven track record of improving recovery metrics through channel optimization and segmentation.
  • Collaborative Influencer: You excel at framing complex problems, building evidence-based business cases to secure product prioritization, and aligning cross-functional teams.
  • Compliance-Aware: You hold a solid working knowledge of regulatory frameworks (FDCPA, Regulation F, TCPA) to proactively design both effective and compliant strategies.
  • Tech & AI Literate: You comfortably utilize AI tools to speed up work and are familiar with champion/challenger testing, SQL/BI platforms (Looker, Tableau), and Jira.

Salary Information:

For U.S.-based hires, the overall base salary framework for this role currently spans $145,000 to $175,000 per year. Remote Work, Travel Expectations, & Physical Requirements

This role supports a global, cross-functional business and operates primarily in a Remote-First environment. However, flexibility outside of standard business hours and occasional local or international travel may be necessary for global operations support, company meetings, training, offsites, and collaborative projects.

Maintaining a reliable internet connection and a professional work environment is expected. The ability to protect confidential company, employee, customer, and business information while working outside of a company office is also required.
