Squarespace web designer

We are seeking a website designer to create and develop Squarespace websites from start to finish for our clients. This designer will be trained in our unique, fast-paced, live design process. This designer will also design new website templates for our StorySite brand and install them for clients. In between client projects, they will create marketing graphics for Knapsack and StorySite.

Your Responsibilities

• Meet with clients via video call to understand their needs
• Design websites for clients using Squarespace
• Make live changes to designs with the client present
• Choose stock photography for sites
• Design graphics for clients
• Present website designs to clients
• Customize site styles with CSS
• Design website templates for Squarespace
• Connect domains and launch websites
• Create graphics and emails for marketing efforts
• Provide suggestions for improving processes
• Occasionally design logos, print materials, and more

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with Squarespace
• Able to design in a variety of styles
• Proficient in Photoshop or other similar design tools
• Able to make quick design decisions on the fly
• Excellent face-to-face and written communication skills
• Able to troubleshoot technical issues
• Good understanding of website usability principles
• Able to professionally present a design to a client
• CSS knowledge is a plus
• Experience working with a variety of industries is a plus
• Being familiar with the StoryBrand framework is a plus
• Basic copywriting skills are a plus
