You Are: UST is searching for a Senior Tableau Developer to build powerful data visualizations and reports. You will connect Tableau to cloud data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.

The opportunity:

• Design and build Tableau dashboards, reports, and views tailored to business requirements
• Connect Tableau smoothly to cloud data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake
• Write clean SQL queries and optimize data models for fast performance and efficient data extraction
• Set up data security rules, user permissions, and row-level security in Tableau Server or Cloud
• Implement parameter actions, set actions, and dynamic zone visibility for interactive user experiences
• Work with data engineers and business leaders to understand reporting needs and translate them into solutions
• Fix performance issues in slow dashboards and optimize large datasets using Tableau Performance Recorder
• Mentor and collaborate with team members on best practices and technical implementations

What you need:

• 5+ years of professional experience working as a Tableau Developer
• Proven experience connecting Tableau to Snowflake or Databricks cloud data platforms
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT data pipeline development
• Demonstrated track record of optimizing data-heavy workbooks and managing massive cloud datasets

Skills & Technical Competencies:

• Expert proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and Tableau Server/Cloud management
• Deep mastery of complex Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, nested table calculations, and dynamic parameters
• Expert implementation of parameter actions, set actions, dynamic zone visibility, and advanced dashboard container layouts
• Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and transformation
• Performance optimization expertise using Tableau Performance Recorder and efficient context filters
• Strong data modeling capabilities with Tableau's logical and physical semantic layers (Relationships vs. Physical Joins)

Knowledge & Domain Expertise:

• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and star schema design
• Expert knowledge of Tableau's modern semantic layers and extract optimization for cloud datasets
• Good understanding of cloud data platform architecture and connectivity

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications:

• Relevant Tableau Certification (highly valued)
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, RDS, Athena)
• Advanced integrations using TabPy (Tableau Python Server) for analytics or machine learning models
• Healthcare domain experience, including industry-specific data metrics or compliance standards
• Experience migrating on-premise reporting tools to cloud platforms

Compensation: Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below. Role Location: Remote - US Compensation Range: $72,000-$108,000.

Benefits: Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico. Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
