Senior product marketing manager

Lee Enterprises is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to help the new products and advertising initiatives created by our Content Monetization team reach their full potential across our network of local news brands, through creative, sustained, organic promotion.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Advertising Product, you'll own organic promotion across video, social, email, and our owned channels, partnering closely with our paid media and subscriptions teams.

You'll partner directly with the Senior Director to shape our promotional strategy, bringing your own ideas to the table, and then bring it to life with real ownership of the work: creating the assets, executing campaigns end to end, and showing your impact through results. What you'll do:

• Bring new products to market
• Develop creative assets and launch plans that help new products find their audience.
• Build always-on promotion that keeps products growing well beyond launch day.
• Own curated social and email promotion for these brands, plus additional organic channels.
• Power new advertising products
• Create marketing materials and promotional assets for new advertising products, equipping sales teams to sell them with confidence.
• Execute our video strategy
• Build and maintain the creative playbook that puts our video strategy into action, on and off platform.
• Coach editorial teams to bring video into their stories, create their own, and know when original video beats wire content.
• Elevate social content
• Track the layouts and themes that perform best on social media.
• Build new social layouts using our content automation tools.
• Help newsrooms grow their social brands and posts across every platform, guided by performance insights.

What you'll bring:

• 5+ years in product marketing, content marketing, digital marketing, or a similar role, ideally in media or publishing.
• A track record of independently executing promotional plans, from concept to results.
• Strong working knowledge of video best practices, including vertical and short-form video across platforms.
• Experience developing creative concepts and producing promotional assets, including social graphics, email, and short-form video.
• Hands-on experience managing social media across multiple platforms.
• Confidence using data to measure performance and refine your approach.
• Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills.

Helpful experience

• Work in local media, publishing, or a related industry.
• Content and social automation tools.
• Video syndication or video monetization.
• B2B or advertising product marketing.

What success looks like

New products and advertising initiatives drive revenue growth and strong adoption. Video inventory, views, and revenue grow, social reach and engagement expand, and newsrooms confidently use video and social best practices.
