Senior commercial auto bodily injury claims examiner | remote

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Auto Bodily Injury Claims Examiner to join their team. This person will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex liability claims involving commercial vehicles and transportation-related exposures. This position will primarily focus on bodily injury matters, including severe injury claims, attorney-represented files, and claims that have progressed into litigation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial auto or trucking claims and be comfortable independently managing files from initial review through resolution. This role requires strong investigative, negotiation, litigation management, and communication skills. This person will have the ability to work fully remote.

Manage commercial auto and transportation bodily injury claims from assignment through final resolution. Review coverage, determine liability, assess damages, and establish appropriate claim strategies. Handle moderate-to-severe bodily injury exposures, including complex and high-value claims. Manage attorney-represented and litigated files while maintaining appropriate reserves and settlement strategies. Coordinate with defense counsel, investigators, SIU resources, experts, and other outside vendors. Review medical documentation, accident information, legal materials, and other claim-related evidence.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7+ years handling commercial auto liability and bodily injury claims is required.
• Experience with trucking or transportation-related claims is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing moderate-to-severe bodily injury exposures.
• Strong background handling attorney-represented and litigated claims.
• Experience working with defense counsel and managing claims through litigation.
• Knowledge of insurance coverage, liability investigation, damages evaluation, and claim resolution practices.
• Active adjuster license(s) as required for assigned jurisdictions, with the ability to obtain additional licensing when necessary.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience preferred.
