What You Will Own

• Lead complex insurance defense files independently from pleadings through trial
• Argue motions, conduct depositions, appear in court, and handle mediations and arbitrations
• Maintain clear and proactive communication with carriers and claims professionals
• Track billable hours accurately and meet invoicing expectations
• Mentor junior associates and paralegals on case strategy and professional standards
• Collaborate with partners on high-stakes or novel matters

Who Fits

• NY-barred litigator with 5 to 8 years of insurance defense experience
• JD from an accredited law school
• Comfortable managing a high-volume caseload with minimal oversight
• Trial experience required; second-chair trial experience considered
• Proficient in drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and court filings
• Experience at mediation, arbitration, and settlement conferences
• Lives within commutable distance to New York courts

Compensation and Benefits

$200,000 to $225,000 base. This band reflects senior-level experience and the autonomy of the role.
