We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Asset Manager to join our corporate team. This is a newly added position due to growth. A remote US-based position, the qualified candidate can be based anywhere in the continental US, close to a major US airport.
Under the direction of the Director of Asset Management, the Senior Asset Manager will perform financial analysis to support new business development, asset management, strategic planning, labor modeling, budgeting, and investment decision making. This opportunity entails being responsible for providing asset management support to the Director of Asset Management, with a focus on budgets, profitability, earnings variances, cash flow, and contract compliance. The Asset Manager ensures success in areas such as contracting, compensation and payment terms, workplan/project management system alignment, budgets, cost controls, revenue recognition, and cash and invoice management.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics or statistics. Master’s degree preferred. More than 10 years’ work experience in power generation or experience in other energy industries. Must have experience with a variety of conventional power plant technologies.
Expert in Excel modeler utilizing macros, pivot tables and other higher-level capabilities of the application and proficient in PowerPoint, Word and other Microsoft Office products. Proficient in a variety of the financial analysis concepts, methods, practices, and procedures. Can-do attitude and ability to work on multiple projects with a diverse group of people and departments. Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills. Ability to take initiative in gathering and documenting all inputs required for analyses. Ability to manage lots of detailed data but present the results clearly and concisely. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deliverables. Excellent communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to understand business issues quickly. Ability to work well with outside customers/consultants to achieve organizational goals.
This job operates in a clerical, home based office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones etc. Ability to work after hours on occasion as business needs dictate.
While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to see, hear, talk, write, read, stand, walk, bend over, and be alert at all times. The employee is frequently required to use hands to type, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. While infrequent, employee may need to visit fleet locations in which employee may need to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, drive (vehicle), stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
