The Team: As the backbone of organizational agility, the Finance and HR teams drive our ability to move swiftly and decisively. We provide critical insights that empower teammates to thrive, offering unparalleled support and data-driven insights. At the intersection of people and numbers, our mission is to ensure everyone has the resources they need to succeed.
About the Role: If you bring ops chops, a systems mindset, and the ability to see the forest for the trees — this role is built for you. We are looking for a Senior Accountant with ambition — someone who is wired towards process improvement, runs highly efficient, world class back-office systems, and brings real energy to operations. You will drive the full cycle expense management function — Accounts Payable, corporate spend, people expenses, and the dashboards that help close the books efficiently and keep leadership informed. This is a hands-on role, and you'll also be expected to step back and tell the story of what the data is showing. High-volume task management, sharp reporting instincts, and a bias for process improvement and automation are your superpowers. This role is a great fit for someone who has hands-on ops experience in a high-growth SaaS and/or remote environment, is energized by growth opportunities, ownership and improvement, and is excited to grow with Consensus.
What You’ll Do: Expense Operations Drive the Expense Ops and AP Health Dashboards: maintain and improve reporting that gives leadership real-time visibility into payables health, spend exceptions, and policy compliance status Own full cycle Accounts Payable operations: vendor onboarding, bill review, payment batch management, aging review, and escalations Run multi-platform payroll entry and preparation Reconcile and manage people expenses on our GL and the integrations that support it Manage corporate card and spend workflows, including weekly CC review and sync, GL coding accuracy, policy enforcement, and exception reporting Champion tool utilization across tech stack — ensuring the tech stack works as hard as the team and surfaces the right data at the right time Drive continuous improvement across AP and expense workflows—identifying automation opportunities, eliminating manual touchpoints, and leveraging AI tools to build a leaner, more resilient back office Month-End Close & GL Expense Management Own GL expense account management within the close cycle such as: accruals, prepaid releases, reimbursement entries, allocation JEs, and workpaper completion Coordinate with the Director of Accounting to ensure all expense-side close deliverables are completed on schedule Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Serve as a guide within the accounting team, providing day-to-day review and feedback to staff accountants Exemplify Consensus values Own process documentation and workflow standards that create consistency, reduce error rates, and free up team capacity for higher-value work.
What We’re Looking For: Required 3+ years of progressive accounting experience High growth SaaS or B2B software industry background Deep hands-on experience with AP, Payroll and Expense Ops Strong GL and month-end close experience with direct ownership of reconciliations and journal entries Proven ability to manage high-volume, recurring task workflows with precision, consistency, and accountability Exceptional organizational and self-management skills Routine and repeatable incorporation of AI tools to improve workflow efficiency Demonstrated ability to build and maintain operational dashboards and reporting deliverables (AP health, expense ops, GL pulse) Bonus Points NetSuite experience Public accounting experience CPA or equivalent designation.
