About the Role:

As a Sales Engineer at Aura, you will serve as the primary technical authority throughout the sales lifecycle for our MSP partner network. You will collaborate closely with Account Executives, MSP partners, and distribution channels to demonstrate the value of Aura’s endpoint and mobile security solutions. Your technical expertise, deep understanding of the MSP business model, and consultative approach will be vital in driving pipeline conversion and partner enablement.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Deal Leadership: Partner with Sales Account Executives to deliver technical presentations, custom product demonstrations, and technical proofs of concept (POCs) tailored to MSP environments.
• MSP Channel Enablement: Architect and deliver technical onboarding, training, and solution architecture guidance to MSP engineers and technical leaders.
• Endpoint & Mobile Security Architecture: Articulate complex technical capabilities—including endpoint protection, mobile threat defense, device management integration, and threat response—to both technical and executive audiences.
• Distribution & Partner Collaboration: Work directly with MSP distributors, aggregators, and technology partners to streamline technical integration, solution packaging, and market reach.
• RFP/RFI Management: Lead the technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires, ensuring precise and compelling solution alignment.
• Voice of the Partner: Act as a critical feedback loop between MSP partners, Product Management, and Engineering to inform product roadmaps based on real-world partner needs.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Architect, or technical pre-sales role within the enterprise software or cybersecurity industry.
• MSP Ecosystem Expertise: Proven track record working directly with Managed Service Providers (MSPs), with a deep understanding of RMM/PSA workflows, multi-tenant architectures, and the MSP business model.
• Domain Knowledge: Strong technical depth in endpoint security (EDR/EPP), mobile security (iOS/Android threat defense), network security fundamentals, and identity protection.
• Distribution Channel Background (Preferred): Prior experience collaborating with major MSP distributors and channel aggregators is highly advantageous.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical engineers and business executives.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical barriers during pre-sales cycles and guide POCs to successful execution.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay range for this position including base and variable compensation is $157,250 - $185,000 but may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
