Recruitment Assistant – Short-Term Contract

Description

This is initially a month-to-month contract for 1–3 months, depending on the company’s hiring needs and progress in filling the current openings. While the initial engagement is temporary, there may be an opportunity for a longer-term position for a candidate who demonstrates exceptional performance and becomes a strong fit for the team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Source qualified candidates through Indeed and various online job boards and recruitment platforms.
• Search for candidates based on the requirements and qualifications provided by the client.
• Review candidate profiles, resumes, and applications to identify potential matches.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current openings.
• Proactively identify candidates rather than relying solely on incoming applications.
• Conduct initial screening of applicants based on job requirements and client criteria.
• Review resumes and candidate backgrounds for relevant experience and qualifications.
• Conduct preliminary phone or video interviews when required.
• Ask appropriate screening questions and document candidate responses.
• Identify qualified candidates for the client’s review and next stage of the hiring process.
• Work directly with the client to understand hiring priorities, role requirements, and candidate preferences.
• Coordinate interviews between qualified candidates and the client.
• Follow up with candidates regarding interview schedules, availability, and next steps.
• Maintain accurate records of candidate status throughout the recruitment process.
• Keep the client updated on sourcing activity, candidate pipeline, and recruitment progress.
• Manage and monitor job postings across Indeed and other applicable recruitment platforms.
• Review incoming applications and organize candidates according to the appropriate role or hiring stage.
• Assist with updating job postings and sourcing strategies as needed.
• Utilize different search methods and recruitment platforms to expand the candidate pool when necessary.
• Maintain organized candidate records, resumes, screening notes, and interview schedules.
• Track candidate progress from initial sourcing through interview and hiring.
• Prepare recruitment reports or updates as requested.
• Perform other recruitment-related administrative tasks to support the client's hiring efforts.

Hard Requirements:

• Previous experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, recruitment coordination, or sourcing.
• Hands-on experience sourcing candidates through Indeed and/or other online job platforms.
• Experience reviewing resumes and screening candidates.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple open positions and candidate pipelines simultaneously.
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients or hiring managers.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Proactive approach to candidate sourcing and follow-up.
• Ability to work independently and meet recruitment targets and deadlines.

Schedule:

HOURS/WEEK: 40 Hours/Week

Monday-Friday 9:00AM-6:00PM EST

Offer and Benefits:

Weeks 1–8: $5 USD/hour

Weeks 9 onwards: $6 USD/hour
