DGR Systems designs and delivers technology solutions that our clients rely on to run their organizations. Behind every project sits a technical team doing complex, specialized work at high standards, and a client who is counting on us to deliver what we committed to.
This role is about more than coordinating tasks. You will own the client relationship, the project record, and the path forward on every engagement you touch, from kickoff through close.
You will report to the Sr. Manager, PMO and work closely with DGR's Technical Leads in a two-in-the-box delivery model.
The Project Manager and Technical Lead bring different responsibilities to the engagement but share accountability for delivering a successful outcome.
This role will feel different from a PM position where every project follows the same playbook. DGR has established delivery methodologies, standards, and support structures, but our engagements vary significantly in size, complexity, technology, and client environment.
A network refresh spanning more than a thousand sites requires a different approach than an identity modernization for a healthcare system or a security framework deployment for a government organization. We expect our PMs to understand the difference and adjust the level of planning, communication, and governance accordingly. You will work with a Technical Lead who understands the technical work, established delivery methodologies to guide the engagement, and the flexibility to adapt the approach together based on what the project requires.
The PM's role is not to direct the technical team. It is to create the conditions for the technical team to do their best work while keeping the client informed, expectations aligned, and the engagement moving forward.
This role covers two things that have to work together for any engagement to succeed.
You will also keep project records and documentation current throughout each engagement, not as a milestone activity but as an ongoing standard. We treat that as part of the job, not as something to get to later.
We match the level of process to the engagement. Complex or sensitive projects require more structure, while smaller, focused engagements may need less. Strong PMs here know how to recognize the difference.
The Technical Lead is your delivery partner. You are not expected to manage their technical work. You are expected to work alongside them to keep the engagement organized, remove obstacles, manage the client experience, and make sure the team is moving toward the same outcome.
Proactive communication matters, especially when the news is difficult. We expect clients to hear about risks, delays, or changes from us early, along with a clear explanation of what happens next.
The project record stays current. Every engagement should be in good enough shape that another PM could pick it up tomorrow without asking you for context. That is the standard that protects the client and protects DGR.
We want candidates to have a clear picture of the environment before deciding whether DGR is the right fit.
This role may not be the right fit if you prefer to follow the same project playbook regardless of the engagement. We have established methodologies, but we expect PMs to apply judgment in how they use them.
You will need to be comfortable having clear conversations about scope. Serving the client well sometimes means explaining that a request changes what was originally agreed and helping determine the right path forward.
This is an execution-focused PM role within an established operating model. There will be opportunities to improve how we work, but the primary responsibility is delivering successful client engagements.
You will also need to be comfortable operating when every answer is not immediately available. We expect PMs to bring structure to ambiguity, identify what needs to be resolved, and keep the client and team moving forward.
Base salary range $80,000 - $110,000
Work arrangement - Remote

Send us your resume and a few sentences about a client situation that challenged you. Tell us what made the situation difficult, how you approached it, and how the relationship was affected. It does not need to be a perfect success story. We are interested in how you think and communicate when a situation gets complicated.
