Compassion & Choices is seeking a Operations Specialist, Programs. This is a full-time, remote position. The starting salary range is $70,000–$90,000 annually. The final salary offered will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity, and organizational considerations.

This position will primarily be responsible for: The Operations Specialist, Programs is a program support and project management generalist responsible for leading key operational systems and projects across the organization. This position drives operational excellence by administering systems, managing projects, and supporting the successful execution of organizational programs and events.
The Operations Specialist will serve as a systems administrator and project manager in direct support of organizational programs, including researching, configuring, implementing, and maintaining operational platforms such as volunteer management software, digital collaboration systems, and resource fulfillment tools. Responsibilities may include establishing workflows, user permissions, database standards, onboarding documentation, and providing ongoing technical troubleshooting and support for staff.
This position will also lead the operational systems and processes supporting internal and external events across in-person, hybrid, and virtual formats. Responsibilities include managing event logistics, project timelines, registration workflows, travel and lodging arrangements, venue operations, production schedules, and on-site coordination to support the successful delivery of mission-aligned programs.

The Operations Specialist provides functional leadership for event teams by coordinating vendors, consultants, volunteers, venue staff, and cross-functional internal stakeholders. This position oversees event operations and serves as the primary operational lead during event planning and execution.

The candidate should also have advanced proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, event registration platforms, webinar and virtual event technologies such as Zoom Webinar, CRM platforms (preferably EveryAction), project management software such as Asana or Smartsheet, collaboration platforms, and event management applications.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA), Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Digital Event Strategist (DES), Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP), or other related certifications are preferred but not required.
Travel
Must be able and willing to travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel, for organizational meetings, conferences, retreats, event planning, on-site event management, and other business-related activities as needed. This requirement is subject to change.
