Job Description

Talkdesk competes in a market where the quality of execution separates companies that grow efficiently from those that spend more to get the same result. Marketing Operations is where that execution lives. This role exists to ensure that every dollar of marketing spend, every campaign, every event, and every account-based program translates into pipeline with zero friction. That requires a system built for precision where the right prospect reaches the right person at the right time, consistently and by design.

You sit inside the Marketing team, with close partnerships across Sales and RevOps. The marketers running campaigns, events, and account-based programs are your primary stakeholders. When the system works, their work converts.

In practice, that means owning the full operational surface of marketing technology: administering and continuously improving the tools that make up our GTM stack, building and maintaining the integrations that keep data moving cleanly between systems, designing the orchestrations that automate account and contact engagement, ensuring the enrichment and data integrity standards that make every downstream decision reliable. This is an interdependent system, and this person keeps it running as a coherent, high-performing whole.

What You'll Own

  • Account-Based Marketing Orchestration: Serve as the technical owner of our ABM orchestration layer. Translate signals from our intent platform into automated, sequenced actions across our marketing automation platform and CRM, working closely with campaign and field marketing teams to ensure the right programs reach the right accounts at the right moment. Getting this infrastructure right is one of the highest-impact contributions this role makes to the business.
  • Marketing Technology Foundation: Own the day-to-day health of our martech systems and the workflows, API calls, integrations, and syncs that connect them to keep prospect data moving accurately through the funnel. When something breaks or underperforms, you diagnose it, fix it, and document the resolution so it does not recur.
  • Agentic AI Workflow Engineering: Design and build automated workflows that use AI capabilities to evaluate qualitative signals, such as demo request notes, intent activity, and unstructured form inputs, alongside firmographic data to produce dynamic lead scores and routing decisions. You write the API calls, design the orchestration logic, test against edge cases, and iterate based on conversion outcomes. Experience shipping something to production is the bar.
  • Enrichment and Insights: Build and manage the workflows that construct a complete, account-level intelligence profile from the moment a prospect engages. That means aggregating first-party behavioral signals, third-party intent data, firmographic context, and web research into a unified view that captures not just the individual contact but the broader buying committee: who across the account is engaging, with what content, and what their activity suggests about organizational priorities and pain points. That intelligence surfaces in the systems where sales and marketing work, so every follow-up is informed, relevant, and timed to the account's buying journey.
  • System Documentation and Enablement: Every workflow you build or modify gets documented: field mapping dictionaries, AI orchestration logic, routing rule change logs. Beyond documentation, you actively invest in making the marketing team more self-sufficient, building self-service reporting and dashboards that allow marketers to check campaign performance, list quality, or lead status independently, and creating resources that allow colleagues to troubleshoot routine tasks and leverage AI tools without filing a request. An empowered marketing team operates with greater speed and confidence, and this role contributes meaningfully to that outcome.

Who You Are

You operate with a high degree of autonomy. You are embedded in the relevant standups, attentive to system performance, and typically ahead of issues before they surface as escalations. Your manager will set context and priorities; the execution is yours to own.

You are invested in the success of the Marketing team. You understand that the campaigns, events, and programs your colleagues execute are only as effective as the systems that support them. Leads from a field event that go unrouted, an ABM sequence that executes against incomplete data, or a high-intent inbound request that experiences significant delay before reaching an SDR all represent measurable pipeline impact. You approach your work with that accountability in mind.

You are technically strong and collaborative by nature. Marketers, Sales and RevOps are close partners. You understand their workflows well enough to anticipate where system gaps will affect their work, and communicate clearly when something is broken, when it is fixed, and why. Strong cross-functional relationships are central to this role.

You see the work through to completion. You build, test, document, and close the loop. When something you own regresses, you identify it first.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 3 to 5 years in B2B SaaS Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, or a systems-adjacent role
  • Hands-on marketing automation and CRM administration, including configuring and maintaining MAP-to-CRM syncs
  • Demonstrated ability to build and deploy an automated workflow that calls external APIs, whether webhooks, REST APIs, or LLM endpoints, in a production environment
  • Native fluency in B2B funnel mechanics: MQL definitions, lifecycle stage transitions, opportunity lifecycles, and attribution models
  • Experience coaching or enabling non-technical stakeholders on new tools, AI workflows, or self-service reporting

Strong Signal

  • Hands-on administrative experience with intent data platforms, routing engines, and ABM orchestration
  • Prior experience building LLM-powered workflows for lead scoring, routing, or qualification
  • Comfort reading and writing JSON, working with REST APIs, and debugging integration errors independently

How We'll Measure Success

The through-line across all of it is pipeline efficiency: more of the right prospects converting into pipeline from the programs already running, with less manual intervention and less fallout.

  • 30 days: Full audit of marketing automation-to-CRM field mapping is complete, ownership of inbound routing rules is established, and current ABM workflow patterns are mapped to identify key automation opportunities.
  • 60 days: First agentic AI workflow is deployed to staging or production. At least one major ABM orchestration sequence that previously required manual steps is automated. An initial self-service enablement resource or dashboard is delivered to the marketing team.
  • 90 days and beyond: Lead sync exception rate is at target with a monitoring process that catches regressions before Sales does. ABM orchestration operates as a reliable service layer that campaign and field marketers can brief and trust to execute. Marketing colleagues actively leverage self-service tools and AI workflows independently.

Application Question

Required with your resume (200 words max): A high-intent prospect submits a demo request but never reaches the assigned SDR in the CRM. Walk us through your exact diagnostic process: which logs you check first, how you trace the break across the marketing automation-to-CRM sync and inbound routing rules, how you validate the fix, and how you would design an agentic step to evaluate the prospect's form submission notes for priority routing.
