Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Technician II to support and enhance our Microsoft 365 environment while delivering exceptional technical support across the organization. This role combines systems administration, user support, identity and access management, onboarding/offboarding, and SharePoint administration. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced remote environment where they can independently own projects and daily operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support the Microsoft 365 environment, including users, licenses, groups, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Manage Entra ID and Active Directory, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, security groups, and multi-factor authentication.
- Lead SharePoint governance, organization, permissions management, and content cleanup initiatives.
- Own end-to-end employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setup, access management, hardware deployment, and equipment recovery.
- Configure, deploy, and support Windows workstations, laptops, and company-issued mobile devices.
- Provide responsive help desk support and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and access-related issues.
- Support VPN connectivity and coordinate with vendors and managed service providers to drive issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset inventories, and access records while supporting security and compliance initiatives.
Required Skills and Abilities
- 2-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or Microsoft 365 administration.
- Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Experience administering Entra ID/Active Directory, user lifecycle management, security groups, and MFA.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of managing priorities independently.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
Technical Requirements
- Microsoft 365 administration and support.
- Entra ID (Azure AD) administration, identity management, and access controls.
- Windows 10/11 deployment, configuration, and support.
- Mobile device management for iOS and Android platforms.
- VPN administration and troubleshooting (SonicWall NetExtender or similar).
- Preferred experience with Intune, Autopilot, ERP systems such as Sage X3, SQL queries, and security awareness platforms.
- Microsoft certifications such as MS-900, MS-102, AZ-104, or SC-300 are a plus.
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and hands-on experience.
- 2-5 years of relevant IT systems administration or Microsoft 365 experience.
- Experience supporting a remote or distributed workforce preferred.
