IT Analyst

BUSY BEE ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES INC. is seeking an IT Analyst to join our Information Technology department. This is a full-time, remote position based in DC, offering an excellent entry-level opportunity for a motivated professional to build a career in IT within the environmental services industry.

As an IT Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the technology systems that power our environmental services operations. You will work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to troubleshoot technical issues, maintain systems and applications, and help ensure that our technology infrastructure runs reliably and efficiently. This role offers hands-on exposure to a wide range of IT functions and the chance to grow your skills in a mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end users and resolve IT issues promptly
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, and applications
  • Install, configure, and update software and hardware as needed
  • Assist in troubleshooting system and network problems
  • Document technical procedures, issues, and resolutions
  • Support data management and reporting activities
  • Collaborate with IT team members on system improvements
  • Assist with user account management and access control
  • Participate in testing and deployment of new IT solutions
  • Maintain IT asset inventories and track equipment status

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Entry-level experience or relevant internships in IT support or analysis
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and macOS
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Preferred: Knowledge of common IT support tools and ticketing systems
  • Preferred: Basic scripting or technical certification such as CompTIA A+
