The Insurance Agent is responsible for working with current and potential clients to select insurance policies that best meet their needs, preferences and budget. The Insurance Agent develops new business to support the company’s goals by making independent sales calls on existing and/or potential clients and aiming to retain the business of current clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Network through a variety of means including daily sales calls with prospective clients by introducing the Company, developing a profile, providing a value proposition, and documenting the results.
• Maintains frequent communications (i.e., telephonic, email, marketing mailers) with established/previous customers to see where additional opportunities exist for an expansion of business.
• Educating clients on different types of insurance coverage and making recommendations based on their unique needs.
• Gather, complete, and maintain all insurance documents to allow ease of access while ensuring client confidentiality.
• Other responsibilities, as assigned.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed in California Required
• Licensed in Additional States Preferred
• Five (5) + years’ experience in a similar, successful insurance agent role
• Intermediate knowledge of insurance policies and practices
• Ability to positively project the company
