About the Role

As an SAP BASIS Security Engineer/Administrator, you will lead critical security efforts across SAP platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain SAP security architecture, including authorizations, roles, and profiles
• Administer SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, MDG, GTS, Solution Manager, Ariba, SuccessFactors)
• Manage user and role provisioning, SSO solutions, and Fiori security authorizations for seamless access control
• Conduct SoD analysis, compliance audits, and produce audit-ready documentation
• Oversee security incident monitoring, response, and remediation, including root-cause analysis and vulnerability management
• Utilize SAP Authorization Management tools (SU01, PFCG, SU24, etc.) and GRC modules (ARA, BRM, EAM)
• Automate security tasks and reporting using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and basic ABAP debugging
• Collaborate with IT security, audit, and business teams to align security controls with organizational objectives
• Lead and manage multiple projects within Agile or Waterfall frameworks, ensuring timely and successful delivery
• Train end-users and administrators on SAP security best practices and document security procedures

Required Skills and Experience

• In-depth knowledge of SAP security, authorizations, and NetWeaver architecture (ABAP, Java, SAP HANA)
• 15+ years’ experience in SAP Security administration and engineering
• Advanced expertise in S/4HANA and Fiori Security
• Proven experience with SAP GRC Access Control and Process Control
• Hands-on management of SAP Basis components and SAP Cloud Platform security
• Strong track record with compliance frameworks (GDPR, SOX, ISO 27001)
• Proficiency with SAP security tools and troubleshooting utilities
• Experience with scripting for automation and basic ABAP code review
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Identity Access Management tools
• Experience with SAP BTP security services
• Background in ServiceNow or similar incident management solution
• Advanced understanding of SAP Fiori Catalogs, Groups, Spaces, and Odata services
