Human Resource Consultant

At Wolfe Eye Clinic, we create Better Vision for a Better Life. The Temp/Part-Time HR Consultant will provide human resources support with a focus on policy development, HRIS administration, recruitment support, and HR process improvement. This position will work closely with the Human Director to ensure efficient and compliant HR operations while serving as a resource and mentor to HR staff.

Primary Responsibilities

Human Resources Policies & Procedures

  • Develop, review, update, and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure policies align with company objectives and employment laws.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

HRIS Administration (Paycom)

  • Support and maintain Paycom and other HRIS functions.
  • Assist with system configuration, workflows, and process improvements.
  • Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to users as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize HRIS functionality and reporting capabilities.

Job Descriptions

  • Review, update, and create job descriptions.
  • Ensure job descriptions accurately reflect essential duties and qualifications.
  • Partner with leadership to maintain consistency across positions.

Training & Competency Development

  • Develop and implement training programs for all positions within the organization.
  • Create and maintain position-specific competency models and skills matrices.
  • Identify knowledge, skills, and behavioral expectations required for successful job performance.
  • Partner with department leaders to establish onboarding and ongoing training requirements.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with career development and succession planning initiatives.
  • Maintain training documentation, records, and competency assessments.
  • Ensure training programs support regulatory, compliance, and organizational requirements.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Assist with recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, and interview coordination.
  • Recommend recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  • Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.

Additional Duties

  • Assist with special HR projects and initiatives.
  • Support compliance and employee relations efforts as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Training & Orientation Expectations

Initial onboarding will include two (2) onsite training days to become familiar with organizational processes, team members, and expectations. Attendance at scheduled New Hire Orientation sessions is required.

Work Arrangement

Position is primarily remote. Flexible scheduling within business needs and project deadlines. Average commitment of 15-20 hours per week. This is a temporary position with no guaranteed end date. The assignment may conclude at any time based on business needs and does not imply ongoing or permanent employment.
