To serve as the operational backbone of the Human Resources team at the UUA, providing front-line support to national staff and keeping the systems, records, and payroll/benefits processes that the department relies on running smoothly. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role for someone who takes real pride in getting the operational fundamentals right, and who wants their work to directly support a mission-driven, justice-centered organization.
This role includes a meaningful amount of payroll and benefits processing (data entry, document preparation, and audits), and it's one of the most consistent, recurring parts of the job, not an occasional task.
Candidates who enjoy accurate, structured, process-driven work alongside more proactive HR support tend to thrive in this department. This is a new position and will require someone who is eager to build systems and has experience and success with change management.
This role sits within a collaborative HR team, working closely with the Director of Human Resources, the HR and Benefits Specialist, the Learning and Recruitment Specialist, the Associate Director of HR Strategy and Risk Management, and the Equity, Belonging and Change Coordinator.
This position is non-exempt and has a salary midpoint of $62,300. Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographical location, with offers potentially ranging from 10-15% higher or lower than the midpoint. Requirements include:
