This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Growth Lead based in United Kingdom.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the growth strategy of a fast-growing B2B technology company serving developers and engineering teams worldwide. As an early marketing leader, you will take ownership of growth initiatives that increase product adoption, generate qualified leads, and strengthen brand visibility across the cloud-native ecosystem. You will combine creative storytelling with data-driven experimentation to build an authentic presence in developer communities and technical search channels. Working closely with leadership, Product, Sales, and Content teams, you will turn product innovations and customer success stories into compelling marketing campaigns. From SEO and paid acquisition to community engagement, social media, and product launches, you will have the freedom to test new ideas and scale what works. This hands-on role offers significant autonomy, direct executive collaboration, and the opportunity to shape the marketing function as the business grows.
Accountabilities:
As Growth Lead, you will own the growth strategy and execution across organic, paid, content, and community channels, with the primary goal of increasing the number of developers trying the platform and converting interest into measurable business outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Own and improve the primary growth metric by increasing product trials, self-service sign-ups, and demo bookings through effective marketing initiatives and conversion optimisation.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy, including keyword research, technical SEO, content optimisation, and backlink acquisition, to improve visibility for relevant developer and cloud infrastructure searches.
- Manage paid acquisition campaigns across platforms such as Google Search Ads and LinkedIn, focusing on qualified traffic, lead generation, and measurable conversions.
- Build an authentic and valuable presence in developer communities, including Reddit, Hacker News, Stack Overflow, and other relevant technical forums, engaging users through useful contributions rather than overt promotion.
- Collaborate with Product teams to plan and communicate product launches, feature announcements, and technical updates that engage developers and encourage adoption.
- Work with the Content team to develop, write, and commission technical guides, blog posts, editorial articles, opinion pieces, and customer case studies.
- Transform customer success stories into credible, engaging content that demonstrates practical value and builds trust within the developer and engineering community.
- Lead the LinkedIn social media strategy and experiment with additional platforms where developers and technical decision-makers are active.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Product teams to align growth initiatives with business priorities, share insights, and improve the customer acquisition journey.
- Track and analyse performance metrics, including organic search rankings, website traffic, paid campaign results, lead generation, and conversion rates.
- Develop and test new growth hypotheses regularly, maintaining a pipeline of creative experiments and scaling the channels and tactics that deliver results.
- Identify opportunities to improve the marketing funnel, from initial awareness and website engagement to product trials and demo requests.
- Work directly with senior leadership to shape marketing priorities, establish growth processes, and build a scalable strategy for the company's next stage.
- Take a hands-on approach to both strategy and execution, creating content, launching campaigns, analysing outcomes, and adapting quickly based on results.
Requirements:
You will bring a strong foundation in growth marketing, a practical understanding of B2B customer acquisition, and the creativity to connect with technically sophisticated audiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- At least three years of experience in growth marketing or a related marketing role, ideally within a B2B technology startup at Series A or Series B stage.
- A proven track record of developing and executing marketing strategies that generate qualified leads and convert top-of-funnel interest into product trials, demo bookings, or other measurable actions.
- Exceptional technical writing skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and create content that is useful, credible, and engaging for developers.
- Experience with SEO strategy, including keyword research, technical optimisation, content performance, and backlink-building initiatives.
- Practical experience managing paid acquisition campaigns, particularly through Google Search Ads and LinkedIn, with a focus on performance measurement and lead quality.
- Familiarity with developer communities and the ability to participate constructively in technical discussions, providing value and building trust rather than relying on direct promotion.
- Strong storytelling skills and the ability to translate customer outcomes, product capabilities, and technical features into compelling marketing content.
- A data-driven mindset, with close attention to SEO rankings, traffic acquisition, conversion rates, campaign performance, and other growth metrics.
- A strong experimentation mindset, including the ability to generate new ideas, design tests, assess results, and scale successful initiatives.
- Familiarity with the cloud-native and Kubernetes ecosystem, or a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn technical products and developer workflows quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Sales, Content, and executive leadership.
- A proactive, hands-on working style, with the ability to move between strategic planning and practical execution in a fast-paced environment.
- The independence and initiative to build growth processes without relying on an established marketing playbook or a large team.
- A willingness to take calculated creative risks, learn from unsuccessful experiments, and continuously improve marketing performance.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary: $130,000–$160,000 annually, or an equivalent amount in your local currency.
- Equity participation: An equity package representing an opportunity to share in the company's long-term growth and success.
- Paid time off: 31 days of paid leave annually.
- Remote working: The flexibility to work remotely from eligible locations across North America or Europe, subject to employment and location requirements.

- Startup environment: The opportunity to contribute to a venture-backed technology business with ambitious growth plans.
- Creative autonomy: Freedom to test new marketing channels, develop original campaigns, and build a growth strategy from the ground up.
- Remote-first culture: Opportunities for in-person collaboration while working within a distributed team.
- Professional development: Exposure to developer marketing, cloud-native technology, product-led growth, and a broad range of acquisition channels.
