About Exchange Life

Exchange Life is a fast-growing travel jewelry brand selling collectible travel charms. Our content machine has generated over a quarter billion views across TikTok and Instagram, and we're now scaling our image ad creatives to match.

You'll join a lean, fully remote international team of designers, video editors, and content creators, working closely with our Content Lead and Marketing team. This role exists because our image ad output needs to catch up with our video engine, and you'll help build that side of the creative machine.

Where You'll Be in Six Months

Senior Designer. That's the next title, and it's within reach inside your first six months if your work earns it. A Senior Designer here owns the visual direction of our image ads: you test your own concepts rather than executing briefs, you expand our prompt library, and you set the standard the rest of the team designs to. It's decided by performance, not tenure. Produce winners consistently and you'll get there sooner.

What You'll Earn

Base: $5 USD/hour Performance bonuses: $300–$800/month, paid per winning ad. When a creative you made hits our performance thresholds or scales on paid, you get paid for it. There's no cap on how good your month can be.

What Success Looks Like

Within 1–2 weeks, a successful hire is producing 10/10-quality AI image ads by following our process, creating work that passes review without rework and matches the Exchange Life look. From there, success means consistent output, images that perform on ads, and proactive suggestions that improve the process itself.

Core Responsibilities

• Generate AI product images using our internal prompts, templates, and workflows
• Overlay headlines and copy in Photoshop, matching Exchange Life's visual style
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from the team and ad performance
• Organize and manage creative assets, keeping our AI image library clean and up to date
• Communicate proactively about bottlenecks, capacity, and output

Must-Haves

• Intermediate Adobe Photoshop skills (this is your main tool)
• Solid grasp of text placement and typography for ad creatives
• A portfolio showing clean, polished design work
• Able to follow a creative brief and established process independently
• Reliable communicator who shares their opinion and flags issues early
• Clear written and spoken English
• Stable internet connection

Nice-to-Haves

• AI image generation experience (Higgsfield or similar tools)
• Experience in e-commerce, DTC, or social media ad creative

What You'll Learn Here

AI creative is the fastest-moving skill in marketing right now, and most designers are learning it on personal projects with no feedback loop. You'll learn it on real ad spend. Direct access to ad performance data on your own creatives, so you learn what converts, not just what looks good. Our internal prompt library and workflows, plus the paid AI tools to run them. 1-on-1 mentorship from our Content Lead. Paid courses and software. A portfolio of creatives with performance numbers attached, which is the thing that gets designers hired at the next level.

Working Style

Engagement: Independent contractor, paid in USD Location: 100% remote Hours: ~40 hrs/week, long-term role Schedule: Fully flexible. Work whenever you want, as long as you deliver and communicate daily (async). No timezone overlap required. Time off: Flexible PTO. Take the time you need, just coordinate with the team. Tools you'll use: Photoshop, AI image generation tools (Higgsfield or similar), our internal prompt library Working style: No micromanagement.
