What You Can Expect
The Global Planning Platforms Associate Director serves as the strategic owner of Zimmer Biomet's planning technology ecosystem and is accountable for the vision, roadmap, governance, adoption, and continuous improvement of enterprise planning platforms. With SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) as the core planning platform, this role ensures planning technology effectively enables Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Executive IBP, Scenario Planning, Product Rationalization, and future AI-enabled planning capabilities. This position bridges business strategy and technology, driving planning transformation and ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value.
How You'll Create Impact
Planning Platform Strategy & Product Ownership
- Serve as the executive business owner for SAP IBP and future planning technology platforms.
- Define and execute the multi-year planning technology roadmap aligned with enterprise strategy.
- Establish platform investment priorities and capability deployment plans.
- Evaluate emerging planning technologies, AI capabilities, advanced analytics, and automation opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement through planning technology innovation.
Executive Governance & Reliability
- Establish governance processes for planning platforms enhancements, releases, and capability deployments.
- Chair planning platform governance forums and prioritization reviews.
- Partner with IT to ensure platform stability, reliability, cybersecurity, and performance.
- Govern planning models, hierarchies, master data, key figure standards, and business rules.
Enterprise Planning Transformation
- Lead planning transformation initiatives across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, and Executive IBP.
- Drive standardization of planning processes and best practices globally.
- Support Scenario Planning, NPI Planning, Product Rationalization, and future planning capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy, inventory productivity, customer service, and operational performance.
Capability Development & Adoption
- Lead global user adoption and planner enablement programs.
- Develop training frameworks, best practices, and communities of practice.
- Establish platform performance metrics and adoption measures.
- Promote planning capability maturity across the enterprise.
Innovation, AI & Advanced Analytics
- Lead evaluation and deployment of SAP Joule, Demand Sensing, Machine Learning Forecasting, Inventory Optimization, and Scenario Planning capabilities.
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled planning and automation solutions.
- Partner with Analytics teams to accelerate decision intelligience and planning insights.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the primary liaison between Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Data & Analytics, and executive leadership.
- Present roadmap, investment recommendations, risks, and business cases to senior leadership.
- Ensure alignment between business priorities and technology capabilities.

Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in supply chain planning, integrated business planning, planning systems, or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of SAP IBP experience.
- Experience leading enterprise planning transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing cross-functional technology roadmaps and governance processes.
- SAP IBP certification preferred.
Travel Expectations
Travel up to 20%. Some global travel may be required.
Expected Compensation Range
$145,000 - $182,000 Depending on location, skills, and experience. Final compensation will be determined within this range, taking into account the cost of living and market rates in the candidate's place of work.
