About the Company
Our client supports enterprise organizations with scalable digital platforms, content ecosystems, and technology solutions designed to improve how brands manage and deliver digital experiences. The organization works closely with clients to solve complex technical and content challenges, combining frontend development, information architecture, content strategy, and platform integration.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Frontend Developer (Client Solutions) to build and own the digital experience for a major enterprise engagement involving a multi-location restaurant franchise. This role will help architect a scalable franchise website ecosystem that supports both national brand content and individual location needs. The developer will define how shared and local content work together, develop the underlying content models and schema, and own the frontend presentation of the websites as additional franchise locations come online. This is more than a traditional frontend development position. With no dedicated design team supporting the account, the developer will also make important UI/UX and visual design decisions. The ideal candidate is technically strong, design-minded, comfortable working directly with clients, and capable of independently managing projects and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Frontend Development & Architecture
- Architect and build a scalable website experience for a multi-location franchise environment.
- Develop modern, responsive frontend applications using JavaScript and TypeScript technologies.
- Define how national brand, shared, and location-specific content should work together.
- Build reusable components and templates that can scale as additional locations are added.
- Develop patterns that allow content to be reused and syndicated across locations without creating an inconsistent brand experience.
- Maintain high standards for frontend performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and usability.
- Troubleshoot frontend, publishing, and integration issues as they arise.
- Content Architecture & Schema
- Design and refine content models that support a scalable multi-location digital ecosystem.
- Define structured content schemas for shared content, local overrides, location pages, and other franchise-specific requirements.
- Help determine the appropriate information architecture for national and location-level experiences.
- Understand how content models translate into frontend components and user experiences.
- Consider editorial and publishing workflows when designing technical solutions.
- Coordinate with content and platform teams to ensure content structures support both current and future requirements.
- UI/UX & Design Ownership
- Own the frontend presentation and overall design quality of the websites.
- Make independent UI/UX decisions without relying on a dedicated designer.
- Translate brand requirements into polished and consistent digital experiences.
- Apply strong visual judgment to typography, spacing, layout, hierarchy, navigation, and interactions.
- Ensure the user experience remains consistent across national and location-level websites.
- Balance brand governance with the flexibility required by individual franchise locations.
- Client Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as a technical point of contact for the assigned client engagement.
- Communicate directly with stakeholders regarding progress, timelines, technical decisions, and project status.
- Clearly explain architecture and technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and communicate blockers, risks, dependencies, and potential delays.
- Coordinate with internal platform, engineering, and content teams when integration, schema, or publishing questions arise.
- Maintain clear stakeholder communication without requiring frequent oversight.
- Project Ownership
- Independently manage day-to-day workload, sprint planning, and development priorities.
- Take ownership of projects from initial architecture through implementation and refinement.
- Identify technical or design issues before they become larger project risks.
- Escalate issues appropriately while bringing potential solutions to the conversation.
- Maintain documentation around architecture, components, content models, and important technical decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional frontend development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript and/or TypeScript development.
- Experience building responsive, component-driven frontend applications.
- Experience with templating systems, CMS-driven websites, or headless frontend architectures.
- Understanding of structured content, schema design, and information architecture.
- Experience thinking beyond individual pages or screens to determine how content and components should be structured at scale.
- Strong understanding of frontend performance and accessibility best practices.
- Strong UI/UX instincts and the ability to make independent design decisions.
- Understanding of how editorial and publishing workflows influence frontend development.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating directly with U.S.-based clients and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities without close supervision.
- Proactive communication style with the ability to identify and escalate risks early.
- Availability to work full-time during U.S. business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building websites for franchises, multi-location businesses, restaurant groups, retail organizations, or similar distributed brands.
- Experience with multi-site or multi-instance website architectures.
- Familiarity with headless or hybrid CMS platforms.
- Experience with content syndication and shared content ecosystems.
- Experience balancing centralized brand standards with localized content requirements.
- Previous experience working in a client-facing, consulting, or agency environment.
- Experience serving as the primary technical point of contact for an account or project.
- Experience working closely with content, platform, and engineering teams.
