Summary

The Financial Systems Manager is responsible for managing the Financial Systems department, which involves technical research, evaluation, recommendation, development, testing, installation, configuration, documentation, support and solution best practices for designated financial-related processes and software/applications. Responsible for administration and maintenance of designated financial-related applications including development of financial reports, dashboards, workflows, and integrations with other software products. Works with others within the Finance department to plan, establish, and manage projects in collaboration with members of the Information Technology department.

Essential Functions

• SQL Server administration including maintenance, security, and backup
• Administration and maintenance of IntApp Open new business intake and conflicts system
• Administration and maintenance of Aderant Expert financial system
• Develop and maintain standardized reporting that ensures all financial reporting needs are met
• Ability to manipulate and provide financial systems data for use in other systems and projects
• Troubleshoots application errors from all financial-related software applications
• Assists with financial application packaging, testing, and training
• Analyzes and diagnoses the firm’s financial related software/applications to determine current and future needs, driving automation and standardization of financial business processes
• Responsible for planning, scheduling and coordination of major software upgrades, new releases, patches, and installation of financial-related software applications
• Custom development of financial system forms and workflow integration
• Liaison for financial related software/applications with IT and other departments within the firm as well as vendors and service providers
• Provides technical support to Finance department and other staff, as required
• Participates and contributes to other firm department projects and initiatives
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server administration, Power BI, SSRS, Microsoft Office, VBA, pivot tables, cubes, business rules, forms, workflows, and variables
• IntApp Open system administration including proficiency with Intapp Integration Builder, Open, and Conflicts

Supervisory Role

This position manages all employees of the Financial Systems department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

Work Environment

This job operates in a remote environment. Because this position will be handling client information, employees must work from a home office and not a public location. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and printers.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This position will need to be available during the core business hours of M-F 8-5 MST via email, Teams, and phone, with some flexibility in hours due to location. The employee will be required to be at the office at the discretion of the manager. Denver, CO candidates are preferred. Remote considered for candidates in FL, GA, KS, MI, MO, MT, NC, OK, SC, TX, or WY only.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree desired or a minimum of an Associate’s Degree or eight years equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years in SQL administration
• Minimum of three years in an applications owner/support role
• Prior work with a legal or other professional services firm

Preferred Education and Experience

• BS degree in a computer related field
• Financial applications experience is highly preferred
• Aderant Expert experience is highly preferred
• Intapp Open experience is highly preferred
