Key Responsibilities
- Review and organize historical financial and sales data for U.S. operations
- Prepare sales tax summaries and supporting schedules for 2023, 2024, and 2025
- Assist with U.S. state sales tax compliance (nexus review, taxable vs non-taxable sales, filing prep)
- Reconcile sales tax figures with accounting records (QuickBooks or similar)
- Identify missing data, discrepancies, or compliance risks and clearly flag them
- Prepare clean, well-documented reports suitable for filing or CPA review
- Communicate progress clearly and meet agreed timelines
Required Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant
- Proven experience working with U.S. clients in accounting or tax preparation
- Demonstrated knowledge of: U.S. accounting principles (GAAP familiarity) & U.S. sales tax concepts (state-level filing, nexus, taxable transactions)
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or similar platform
- Comfortable handling multi-year historical data cleanup
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
Project Scope & Duration
Short-term project (estimated 2–4 weeks, depending on findings). Clear deliverables and timeline will be provided at project start. Opportunity for ongoing or repeat work based on performance.
Compensation
$10-$20 depending on experience (preferred candidates with verified U.S. tax experience).
