Events manager - event services firm - remote (ct hours)

THE GIST: Our client, a full-service events firm, is looking for a top-notch Event Manager to assist the firm with planning world-class experiences for companies across the globe. Experience working for an event services agency is required and at least 4 years in event management. Position is remote + travel for events (central time hours). This is an amazing opportunity to help with every stage of the event planning process and partner with the best in the industry!

THE NITTY GRITTY:

• Facilitate client meetings and provide stellar customer service throughout the planning process
• Create and manage timelines for events working closely with project team and client
• Manage event budgets (often $1M+)
• Plan multi-day destination events - incentive trips, internal meetings, and user conferences
• Source locations, select hotels, and partner with onsite staff
• Work with outside vendors, negotiate contracts, and provide day-of direction
• Travel for events & site visits - 20% of the time
• Manage multiple projects and events simultaneously

THE ESSENTIALS:

• 4+ years of experience in events management
• Must have experience working for an events services agency
• Ability to travel both domestically & internationally - 20%
• Experience planning multi-day destination hotel events, including incentive trips, meetings, and conferences
• Experience planning and managing events of a large size (200+)
• Excellent project and time management skills
• Ability to multi task and prioritize
• Impeccable communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and with external parties
• Positive and service-oriented approach to their work

COMPENSATION: Base salary: $115,000/yr - $130,000/yr + benefits (exact compensation will vary based on skills, location, experience, and expertise)
