Director of Marketing, JVM Lending

Location: Walnut Creek, CA. On-site preferred, remote considered for exceptional candidates.

Compensation: $150,000 to $200,000 base + up to $150,000 annual bonus tied to lead-volume goals

About JVM Lending

JVM Lending is a Bay Area tech-forward, exceptionally AI-centric, mortgage company with a nimble, fast-moving team. No committees and no layers of approval. If we like an idea on Monday, it can be live on Tuesday.

We generate about 325 organic online leads a month, plus a similar number of Realtor referral, finance flyer, and paid search leads.

The Role

You'll run all of JVM's marketing: strategy, tech, content, campaigns, analytics, and the team that executes it. You'll manage your own team and report directly to the owner.

The Goal

Grow online leads from 325 to 1,250+ a month while keeping lead quality the same. Today, about 10% of our online leads become pre-approved borrowers. That rate needs to hold as volume grows.

You'll get there through SEO, AEO, social content, AI automation, video, and website development, not from buying leads. You'll also have up to a $15,000 a month budget for retargeting.

What You'll Do

• Lead the team: Hire, manage, and develop marketing staff and vendors.
• SEO and AEO: Own organic search. Grow rankings and traffic, and get JVM cited in AI answers from ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and others.
• Content: Create and direct blog, video, social, and email content built to rank, get cited, and convert.
• AI and automation: Build AI agents and automated workflows for lead capture, nurture, follow-up, and content production.
• Tech and CRM: Own HubSpot, Salesforce, and the rest of our marketing tech stack, including integrations, data flow, lead routing, and attribution.
• Email and nurture: Run lifecycle campaigns that move leads to pre-approval, and campaigns that engage with past clients to keep them coming back to us for future purchases or refinances.
• Website: Improve conversion rate, speed, and UX on JVMlending.com through ongoing testing.
• Retargeting: Build and manage retargeting campaigns with a budget of up to $15,000 per month.
• Analytics: Track lead volume, lead-to-pre-approval rate, and conversion by source, and act on the results.
• Compliance: Keep all campaigns within mortgage advertising rules (TILA/Reg Z, RESPA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, UDAAP, and state/NMLS requirements).

What You Bring

• 4+ years’ experience in digital marketing
• A portfolio of original campaigns and content showcasing your creativity and skill
• The ability to create content yourself (writing, video, visuals), not just manage people who do
• Experience managing people as a director, #2, or team lead
• A track record of growing organic lead volume, with numbers to show it
• Deep SEO knowledge and a tested approach to AEO
• Hands-on experience with AI tools, automation platforms, and AI agents
• Strong CRM, integration, and analytics skills
• Mortgage or financial services marketing experience is a plus, especially on the compliance side

Compensation

Base: $150,000 to $200,000, depending on experience

Bonus: Up to $150,000 a year, based on monthly lead volume while the lead-to-pre-approval rate holds at current levels. Our organic leads are already growing. This role is here to speed that up.
