Database administrator

As a Database Administrator at Veronica Tech, you will be entrusted with the critical task of maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of our core data systems that support a wide range of innovative technology solutions. You will work in a collaborative environment where cross‑functional teams rely on your expertise to design efficient database architectures, implement robust backup and recovery strategies, and continuously monitor system health to preemptively address any potential issues. Requirements: 1–4 years of hands‑on experience managing relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. Proficiency in SQL query optimization, performance tuning, and data modeling techniques. Familiarity with backup, recovery, and replication tools, as well as experience implementing security best practices. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of routine database tasks. Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with developers, QA, and operations teams.

Roles and Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable database solutions that meet application performance requirements. Monitor database health, perform capacity planning, and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks. Implement and manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data availability. Apply security patches, manage user permissions, and enforce data protection policies. Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize data access patterns and support CI/CD pipelines. Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for internal knowledge sharing.
