Job Description

Our client is seeking a Product Owner – Cybersecurity to drive the delivery and evolution of enterprise security products within a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have experience owning cybersecurity products, working closely with engineering and security teams, and delivering production-ready security solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of security operations, incident response, SOAR platforms, and vulnerability management while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to define product roadmaps and prioritize security initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product roadmap for enterprise cybersecurity solutions.
  • Partner with security engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, and priorities.
  • Drive delivery of production security software and ensure successful implementation of security initiatives.
  • Gather business and technical requirements, create user stories, and prioritize product backlogs.
  • Collaborate with development teams throughout the Agile software development lifecycle.
  • Support initiatives related to SOAR, automated response, incident response, and security operations.
  • Work with vulnerability and patch management teams to improve security posture and remediation processes.
  • Track product delivery, risks, dependencies, and communicate status to leadership.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements within the financial services industry.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a Product Owner or similar product leadership role supporting cybersecurity products.
  • Hands-on experience delivering production security software.
  • Strong understanding of SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation & Response) or Incident Response processes.
  • Knowledge of Vulnerability Management and Patch Management.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with engineering teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a Financial Services environment is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise security tools and platforms.
  • Familiarity with security operations, threat management, and risk management.
  • Agile/Product Owner certifications are a plus.
  • Experience working with cross-functional technology and security teams.
