The Critical Power Commissioning Mgr is responsible for leading the commissioning strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of Electrify America and Electrify Canada’s network. This role owns the commissioning process from construction completion through site acceptance and operational turnover, ensuring that all assets are brought online safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Electrify America, manufacturer, and regulatory requirements.
The Critical Power Commissioning Mgr serves as the process owner for defining site readiness and establishing the standards, requirements, and workflows necessary for successful commissioning activities. The primary objective of this role is to eliminate cross-functional overlap during the critical timeline of Commissioning by developing and enforcing clear construction-to-commissioning handoff requirements and installation partner processes. Through collaboration with Design-Build firms, equipment manufacturers, internal stakeholders, and field teams, this role drives consistency, accountability, and quality across all project deployments while minimizing commissioning delays and reducing operational risk.
This position manages key relationships with multiple Design-Build partners, equipment manufacturers, commissioning technicians, and cross-functional teams to maximize dispatch efficiency, execution quality, schedule adherence, and safety performance. The Critical Power Commissioning Mgr serves as the primary subject matter expert for commissioning standards and provides strategic leadership to ensure all stakeholders are aligned with Electrify America's expectations for quality, compliance, and operational readiness.
As a secondary function, the Critical Power Commissioning Mgr develops and delivers commissioning-related training, certification programs, and technical guidance across all service verticals within the organization. This role ensures that internal teams, vendors, and partners maintain a thorough understanding of commissioning requirements, manufacturer standards, applicable codes, and safety regulations, with a strong emphasis on OSHA and NFPA 70E compliance.
The Critical Power Commissioning Mgr is also responsible for onboarding new equipment manufacturers into the network, establishing commissioning standards, certification requirements, startup procedures, and validation processes that ensure successful deployment and long-term operational performance.
5+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
Licensed Master Electrician / IBEW Journeyman
Travel is required as needed to support team initiatives, resolve critical business issues, and perform essential job responsibilities in person. Ability and willingness to travel approximately ~40% of the time is required. Must be available to work outside of normal business hours when necessary to support business operations, address urgent matters, or meet critical deadlines.

In the state of California, the salary range is $80,400 – $146,400. In the state of Colorado, the salary range is $80,400 – $123,900. In the state of Washington, the salary range is $80,400 - $128,400. In New York City, the salary range is $104,600 – $146,400. In Westchester County, the salary range is $91,700 – $146,400. In the state of Rhode Island, the salary range is $80,400 – 123,900.
