Marketing Content Specialist II

Woodward’s Industrial Product Division in Fort Collins, Colorado is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Marketing Content Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and managing engaging marketing materials, writing copy for marketing materials, coordinating campaigns, maintaining communication channels, and supporting marketing events and initiatives. This role is perfect for a creative and organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values collaboration.

Estimated annual base pay: $69,000-$95,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Development: Creates and edits marketing materials for digital and print platforms, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and messaging.
• Campaign Coordination: Assists in planning and executing marketing campaigns by collaborating with cross functional teams to achieve project goals and deadlines.
• Communication Management: Maintains and updates internal and external communication channels, ensuring accurate and timely information dissemination.
• Database Management: Maintains and updates marketing databases, ensuring accuracy and organization of contact information and campaign data.
• Event Support: Provides logistical assistance for marketing events and initiatives, coordinating with vendors and team members to ensure successful execution.

Key Skills:

• Content Creation: Write clear, engaging, and SEO-optimized blog posts, long-form guides, white papers, case studies, and video scripts about our technology and industry trends.
• Translate Complex Concepts: Interview subject matter experts (SMEs), developers, and engineers to break down technical jargon into plain, accessible language for varied readers.
• Content Strategy: Help plan and maintain a content calendar aligned with product launches, company goals, and search intent.
• Editing and Refinement: Edit and proofread drafts for clarity, accuracy, grammar, and consistency with our brand style guide.
• Visual Integration: Collaborate with designers to suggest or create basic graphics, diagrams, and screenshots that simplify technical explanations.
• Project Coordination: Skilled in organizing and overseeing marketing projects from planning to execution.
• Strategic Communication: Ability to develop and implement communication strategies that align with business objectives.
• Data Analysis: Proficient in analyzing marketing metrics to inform decision making and optimize campaigns.
• Social Media Strategy: Experienced in planning and executing social media initiatives to enhance brand presence.
• Brand Management: Competent in maintaining brand consistency and enhancing brand identity through communication.
• Digital Marketing Tools: Knowledgeable in utilizing marketing software and platforms to streamline campaigns.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Strong ability to work cooperatively with cross-functional teams and provide informal guidance.
• Problem Solving: Capable of addressing straightforward marketing challenges using technical expertise and judgment.
• Presentation Skills: Skilled in conveying complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

Successful Candidates Will Also Have:

• Experience: 2+ years of professional writing experience focused on technology, software, or technical products.
• Writing Skills: Exceptional command of English grammar, flow, sentence structure, and storytelling.
• Technical Literacy: Ability to translate technical details into high level concepts ideal for brochures, case studies, and other marketing content.
• Research Ability: Proven skill in self-directed research using primary sources, internal documentation, and SME interviews.
• Collaboration: A strong team player comfortable communicating across technical and non-technical departments.
